Chan Khong Zen Monastery UK

Chan Khong Zen Monatery
2016 – 2023

Chan Khong Zen Monastery UK is a non‐profit organisation founded in 2016 to advance the Buddhist faith and religion. Based in London, we establish a place of worship for the benefit of the public and mankind as a place for religious activities, education and training. Our aim is to promote the mental and spiritual well‐being in the life of individuals through mindfulness and meditation. Zen is a natural part of the human life and we only experience it when the body and the mind come as a single entity in relaxation. Zen practice is about living in the present and experiencing each moment with complete awareness. Zen Buddhism is a tradition that emphasizes self‐control in meditation practice, gaining one’s insight into Buddha Nature and the self‐expression in daily life, especially having thorough understanding about human and life around us. There are positive association between meditation and improvements in mental health and reductions in anxiety.

We are involved in charitable works of providing donations for the relief of poverty and to alleviate human suffering in situations around the world where there has been hardship due to natural disaster. When disaster strikes, the urge to help is admirable. When homes and shelter is destroyed, we provide the tools to enable people to rebuild homes and transform lives. We bring supplies of food, safe drinking water and medicine to areas hit by natural disasters. Monastery donations are the essence of our organization.
